Talents may include (but are not limited to) performances such as comedy, skits, magical illusions, martial arts demonstrations, juggling, and more. Children are encouraged to think outside the box to find their own special unique talent!

We strongly encourage singers to submit a karaoke version of their song.
Only parents of the performers will be invited to attend in person. Others may attend via an online broadcast. More details on how to tune in are coming soon.
Help your child take care of their needs. Treat your child to a healthy afternoon snack and make sure they are well-hydrated so they can perform their best.
Give your child a pep talk beforehand — getting on stage can be scary!
Students/parents are responsible for costumes, music, props, and rehearsal time leading up to and after auditions.
Come in costume and with your props. What we see at auditions is what we expect to see at the final show.
If your act is selected, it must remain the same (costume, props, routine, music, etc.).
There will be a 15-minute window after school for students to change/warm up if they have an early slot.
Arrive at least 10 minutes before your time slot.
A volunteer will confirm your child’s sign-up and make sure all required forms have been submitted.
Arriving early prevents rushing and helps your child feel calm and prepared.
They may bring anything they are able to carry on their own that does not need to be plugged into an outlet.
No, we will need to cut the song short at exactly 2 minutes.
Unfortunately, we cannot change the nature of the act after it has been approved by the judging panel. Please prepare your audition accordingly.
Out of respect for the performers on stage, parents who are not serving as volunteers may only be in the MUR during their own child’s audition.
If music stops or there is an equipment issue, this is taken into account during scoring. During both auditions and the live show, students should continue the best they can if a technical issue occurs.
Unfortunately, no. The sign-up list is first come, first served. We aim to accommodate as many children as possible but PTA volunteers are parents donating their time and capacity is limited.
Not every act will be selected for the final show. As much as we would love to include every child, there are only a set number of spots available. Please prepare your child for either outcome.
